Participate in UNSW MIoT Project

Redwood Technology is invited to participate in UNSW MIoT project by contributing GeoSense+ framework as a cloud service infrastructure.

MIoT is a research project for environmental monitoring applications in underground mines.

The outcome of this project will include edge devices, sensor network and a cloud application based on GeoSense+ framework.

An edge devices will consist of a micro-controller(MCU), a communication module and some sensors (including thermometer, gas detector etc.). It is expected that sensors can have modular design and can be assembled or disassembled physically on request.

The MCU may control the communication module and sensors via SPI, IIC, UART and GPIO. The MCU edge device will then collect data from the sensors and send it to the cloud via a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN).
